I cannot do a search by opening additional firefox window while one firefox window
is open, so frustrating, have to turn the online radio station off to search anything.

Thank You.  Perhaps the answer is to open the music station in explorer and then I can use firefox without having to turn the music off.

how are you opening another firefox window? does this happen if you open it with ctrl+n or add a new window button to the toolbar?

I have firefox window open, I go to bookmarks and log on to radio station then I go to tool bar and click firefox icon it loads firefox main page and I cannot do engine search because everything I type ends up in the find box that opens automatically.  I did not know about ctrl+n and if I open a new firefox window with ctrl+n instead of opening the new firefox window from the icon then everything works fine and the find tool bar does not interfer with a search. Thank you.
