User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-GB; rv:1.8.0.5) Gecko/20060731 Ubuntu/dapper-security Firefox/1.5.0.5 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-GB; rv:1.8.0.5) Gecko/20060731 Ubuntu/dapper-security Firefox/1.5.0.5 When Firefox is configured to Block cookies from a site, if one changes the preferences for that site in the Exceptions dialog by entering the address of the web site and choosing Allow for Session, the preference for that site is *not* changed. One has to manually scroll through the (large!) list, remove the site in question, and re-add it. Note that I have "Allow sites to set cookies" and "for the originating site only" checked, along with "ask me every time" Reproducible: Didn't try Steps to Reproduce: 1. In Preferences | Privacy, check "Allow sites to set cookies" and "for the originating site only" tick boxes 2. Set Keep Cookies to "Ask Every time" 3. Visit a site that uses cookies, and when asked, block the cookie (with remember preference checked). Preferably a site that complains when one has cookies disabled. 4. Exit Firefox 5. Restart Firefox 6. Visit site. Note complaints about cookies not being used. 7. Go to Preferences | Privacy | Exceptions. 8. Enter site in dialog box and choose Allow for Session 9. Close prefs menu. 10. Go to Preferences | Privacy | Exceptions 11. Scroll down to look for site. It is marked as Block. Actual Results: Site preference is unchanged. Expected Results: Site preference should have been changed.
Confirmed on similar platform, ubuntu, 1.5.0.5, en-US

Ever confirmed: true
Confirmed on similar platform, Firefox v2.0, en-US
Confirmed on Firefox 2.0.0.1 on Mac OS X 10.4.8, en-US (yes, different platform). Additionally, suppose changing foobar.com from "Allow for session" to "Allow". Dialog continues to show "Allow for session" in entry for foobar.com after "Allow" button is pushed, until selecting the foobar.com entry, when it updates and changes to "Allow". Closing and re-entering the dialog, however, shows it again as "Allow for session". This behavior also seems to mimic that in a Windows report, Bug 334363; as in that one, removing and re-adding the entry works as it should. Is this a cross-platform bug?
