The name of the languages you offer include "English" and "English (British)".
May I remind you that there is NO SUCH LANGUAGE AS "English (British)". The langauge spoken in Britain is English. Period.
The strain of the language spoken in America may be called "English (American)" at a push.
But please do not imply by your use of the qualifying "(British)" that the true English is somehow inferior to the corrupt version spoken West of the Atlantic.
Please rename your builds accordingly.
Reproducible: Always

Sure, that's how it looks from your perpspective. Meanwhile this software is created in the US, where they see things differently.

The "(British)" is merely descriptive. Any pejorative meaning you may take from it comes from your own beliefs.
[NB: I'm not an Mozilla Foundation or Corporation employee, and do wish to imply that I am. My comments merely reflect the long-standing traditions within the software world, and Mozilla in particular.]

Thanks for the prompt reply.
If the suffix "(British)" is merely descriptive then the suffix "(American)" should be applied to the language currently described as just "English".
You either need to apply the suffixes to both strains, or apply only "(American)" to the current default. This is because, despite what American software developers might believe, American English is derived from English (or British English as you call it), not the other way round.
I disagree that it's the tradition within the software world to treat American English as "English" and have to qualify real English as "British English". One example of this can be seen by looking at the spelling options in Microsoft Word, where these two varieties are explcitly named as "English (US)" and "English (UK)".
Kindly suggest to the development team that they shoudl rename the build to reflect the reality of the nature and origins of these strains.
Regards
Daniel Clarke
