just need to make a call on if the yahoo order is a problem for final, then make the change if needed.
in a future release we might want to look at sites that might be better in providing useful content for the mn locale

Natsagdorj, do you want to bring the 2.0 search plugins into the same state that we use for 1.5?

Is it possible to add more search plugins, even they show an english content?
If it is okay, I want to use the search plugins like now in http://people.mozilla.com/~axel/nightly-1.8/search-engines.html.
If it is impossible, then it is okay to bring the search plugins into the same state that is used for 1.5.

Using the en-US searchplugins for Mongolian is ok, but then you should bring the region.properties part in synch, you should add a
browser.search.order.2=Yahoo
and we should be set.
The Mongolian wikipedia has a 300+ articles only, we don't really loose a lot by dropping that. Which is after we shipped that plugin for quite some time (at least in 1.5), so it didn't help that community either.

Natsagdorj, this means that we're fine with removing Yahoo if there's no good cause for it,
or,
if Yahoo might be interesting to Mongolian users despite the fact that it's in English, put it in second position.

I think Yahoo can be the second suggestion for the search engines, even though it is in English.
Let Yahoo be in the second position. ( Many users want it! )
Comment 11•18 years ago

Ok, then comment #6 still stands, you need to add the explicit positioning for the Yahoo plugin to region.properties.

OK, Yahoo added to region.properties and commited in CVS.
Thanks.
