Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.go to the page 2.click on one of the links. 3.browser crashes and disapeares at once 4.case happens again and again
Could you install Talkback and get a Talkback ID for the crash? http://kb.mozillazine.org/Talkback Also, can you type about:plugins in the location bar, hit enter and tell me if a plugin called npYstate.dll is loaded?

There is no crash for my Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1b2) Gecko/20060905 BonEcho/2.0b2. But when I open the following URL the whole browser doesn't react. Closing the main window leaves a zombie process which has to be killed by the help of the process manager. http://www.syria-news.com/rwm22.php?m=3

So is this branch-only? I do see the browser not quitting on the URL in comment 2 on branch, but it works fine on trunk. All of this on Linux.
Linux seems not to be affected. I tried a current nightly build from 2.0 branch and 1.5.0.6. Both versions freeze immediately when clicking the link from comment 2. I have to kill them with the process manager. Will this be raised by the java applet? I have installed Java(TM) 2 Platform Standard Edition 5.0 Update 6.
I downloaded Update 8 and tested the pages again without any freeze or crash. Reading the release notes of update 8 shows that there a listed some crasher and freezing bugs which are fixed by update 8. http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.5.0/ReleaseNotes.html#150_08 The plugins page on amo still points to Update 7: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/plugins/ Seems that java.com are some days behind the official release.

Reporter, which java version do you have installed? If its lower than Update 8 please upgrade and test again. Thank you.
Yeah, the java thing is very likely to be it...
