351929 - Provide Lithuanian RSS feed for Firefox2 lt users

As a demo feed for Firefox 2 lt, we would like to use the feed provided by Lithuanian national radio and television website http://www.lrt.lt/rss/all.php. This feed was approved and integrated in Fx 1.5.0.x official versions.

Tatjana, do we have approval from lrt.lt for that?

Finally, we have an email with written Lithuanian National Radio and Television (LRT) agreement to include their feed http://www.lrt.lt/rss/all.php into Fx.

The message (together with its English translation) is forwarded to Mic (cc Axel).

Currently LRT feed publishes news only about itself (TV shows, announcements, ...).

I think we should change feed from www.lrytas.lt (http://www.lrytas.lt/rss/) or www.delfi.lt (http://www.delfi.lt/rss/feeds/daily.xml) as default news feed, because those websites provides latest news about Lithuania and world.

I carefully examined RSS news from lrt, lrytas and delfi, and found out that lrt remains more informative and representative than other two. So I do not see the reason for changes.

there is a new set of guidelines that might help in making the right recommendation
they are available here: http://wiki.mozilla.org/Firefox_web_services_guidelines

to summarize the Live Bookmark or RSS Feed should be one that is in your language and be dynamic and current. It is primarily meant to demonstrate the functionality of the feed and give users a good user experience with content they would appreciate. In en-US we use BBC news because it's dynamic, news is typically in the interest of our users and it's in english. In addition this news source is reputed to not have a political bias.
