The ebay search has no interface in portuguese and most of the
content there has not been found relevant in the discussions on the
mailing-list. Portuguese businesses can't register on the site. Normal citizens can.

We're still discussing if we'll try adding one of the portuguese auction sites, but even if we don't, the discussion is that it's better not to have ebay there, if possible.

i guess using the other int'l ebay sites like italy or spain doesn't make sense either.
please keep me informed as to what you decide and
you are OK to remove it if you feel it adds  no value for the user experience in your coutnry

The consensus on the mailing-list seems to be that ebay doesn't make sense. We've been discussing adding one of the portuguese auction sites, but there isn't a majority if this should be done and which site to use.

We'll remove eBay, and maybe will have another auction site for after RC1. But we aren't going to see this discussion closed in time for RC1 to provide a portuguese alternative.

Lilly said that adding is easier than removing, so let's remove ebay now, and see if we can add something appropriate to pt-PT once we have it.
