User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.0.4) Gecko/20060508 Firefox/1.5.0.4
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.0.4) Gecko/20060508 Firefox/1.5.0.4

I'm using Firefox 1.5.0.4 and every time it automatically updates itself, two things happen:

1. It erases my most recent Bookmarks file and cuts the data in half, so I see only about the first ten bookmarks folders I have created.
2. It also changes my home page to a Firefox homepage, even though I have set the home page to my preferred home page several times and checked the box to denote it as ALWAYS my home page.

After the update, I have to go find an older version of my Bookmarks file, delete the current one and repaste the old one in there. It doesn't always take, even if I delete the bookmarks.bak file.

The ideal situation would be that if Firefox does do an automatic update, it doesn't affect my Bookmarks file and it doesn't make its homepage my default homepage automatically.

Thank you.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Firefox does an automatic update.
2. Delete current (now reduced) bookmarks file and bookmarks.bak file.
3. Paste older version of bookmarks file (renamed to bookmarks) into place.
4. Reset home page setting to original homepage.

It's very frustrating and takes time out of my day to fix it every time it happens.
