Randomly, and for seemingly no reason, autocomplete fails to update when it drops down. I can't reproduce this in a consistent manner, but it definitely happens on a regular basis and I've been reproducing it for a while now. Basically... 1. Browse for a while 2. Use the autocomplete a bit 3. While using the autocomplete, type in, say, "app" for "apple.com" and backspace once (so you just have ap). 4. Now, erase everything in the location bar and type "goo" for google.com. The autocomplete drop down doesn't update with the results for google.com. Instead, it visually shows blank and/or stale data from when you searched for apple.com. The data actually _does_ update, but not visually. When arrowing up and down, the correct data is pulled and shows in the location bar (but not the autocomplete drop down). Again, those steps don't reproduce it every time. And, when it does happen, nothing shows in the console. I can reproduce on the latest nightly and get it three to four times a week. Restarting the browser fixes it. Also note that I only see this on my Intel Mac, not on my PPC iBook. I'm filing this as UNCO since I don't have complete steps to reproduce, but I know at least maxr and Wevah have seen this or something similar.
Hardware: PC → Macintosh
Summary: Stale/blank data shows in autocomplete drop down → Stale/blank data shows in autocomplete drop down on (only on Intel?)
I just reproduced this using Version 2006091501 (1.0+). I'll update to the latest nightly, but as I said, this doesn't happen all the time.
I haven't seen this recently using nightlies from the last month. I'm going to close this WFM, but if anyone sees this, please reopen.
