Firefox is disregarding the setting to "Ask me what I want to do" and updates without warning or notification. During each upgraded, of which there seems to be one to two upgrades weekly, "all" my Options settings revert to the default settings and my bookmarks are lost.

It would seem the general feeling is that this is a small and insignificant issue, but for the end user it is a very frustrating annoyance, especially considering the frequency with which it is happening.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
There are no steps, this issue arises with each unforseen upgrade. Listed are the Options settings I change and what I change them to:

General tab
Home page - Use Blank Page
Default Browser - uncheck

Privacy tab
History - 1 days
Saved forms - uncheck
Passwords - uncheck
Download History - When FireFox exits
Cookies - until I close FireFox

Downloads tab
check - close download manager when downloads are complete

Advanced tab
General - check - begin finding when you begin typing
Update - check - Ask me what I want to do

As previously stated these all revert to the default with each upgrade.
