Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.7.10) Gecko/20060505 Firefox/1.0.4 (Debian package 1.0.4-2sarge7) Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.7.10) Gecko/20060505 Firefox/1.0.4 (Debian package 1.0.4-2sarge7) Tried on 3 systems, on one both in XP and SuSE, with firefox versions 1.0.4, 1.5.0.4, 1.5.0.7, and version compiled from CVS using VC7.1 on XP. In all the behaviour is the same. On some pages, inside editable textboxes, the caret bitmap or rendering will have some crud of a few pixels at the top right of the normal bar caret. The same sometimes also happens in FF's own location bar, find, and search textboxes. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. go to http://www.wikipedia.org/ 2. click inside text box to edit Actual Results: Caret has extra garbage pixels. Expected Results: Caret should look normal, like normal system caret.
This is a dupe of either bug 272096 or bug 288839, depending on platform and configuration. Both are fixed on trunk. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 272096 ***
