Details
Seen with SeaMonkey 1.1b 2006100101 on win2k:
1) Visit a random site (without P3P?)
2) open the page info dialog
3) close the tab with the site
4) click on one of the Policy/Summary/Options buttons at the bottom of the Privacy tab.
5) Watch how nothing happens. (What should happen is an annoying alert coming up saying that the privacy policy couldn't be displayed because it couldn't be found.)
The error console shows:
Error: uncaught exception: [Exception... "Component returned failure code: 0x80004003 (NS_ERROR_INVALID_POINTER) [nsIDOMLocation.href]" nsresult: "0x80004003 (NS_ERROR_INVALID_POINTER)" location: "JS frame :: chrome://communicator/content/p3p/nsPolicyViewer.js :: nsPolicyViewer :: line 89" data: no]

great. I've been wanting to purposefully break P3P for many years, but never got around to it, and now it's had the temerity to go and rot all by its self.
I say we just remove it all. Nobody uses it anyway.

Sander,
Can you reproduce with SeaMonkey v1.1.9 ?
(Give an example a such a site.)
Severity: minor → normal
Version: 1.8 Branch → SeaMonkey 1.1 Branch
Yes, still reproduceable with 1.1.9 on Linux, using for example http://www.bbc.co.uk/
The steps to reproduce are still accurate for me; are they in some way unclear so that you couldn't reproduce this yourself?
OS: Windows 2000 → All
