Details
The Penelope project needs a bugzilla entry created for it. Product: Penelope Initial Components List: Build Config General Help Documentation Installer Preferences Mail Window Compose Window Key Config Editor Initial Milestones: 0.1 0.5 1.0 Future I'd also like to see it listed under Client Software for the following URL (not sure if this happens automatically when the product is created). https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/enter_bug.cgi?full=1

Scott: Would be helpful to have a brief description that you would like included for the product as well as the default assignees for the various components. I can set "nobody@mozilla.org" for assignee or whatever you want and then create a watch component for each, which is what we have been doing for most other products.

Summary: Need A Bugzilla Component for The Penelope Project → Need product added for the Penelope project
a description for the product would also be good. fwiw the placement is not automatic, justdave does it manually. note that descriptions can include urls and those that do are appreciated.

I'll asnwer these as best I can. Please bear with me as I'm new to the mozilla processes. The product's URL is <http://wiki.mozilla.org/penelope>. I'm not sure on who the assignees should be for most of the subprojects yet. Let's try: Build Config: mcharleb@qualcomm.com Key Config Editor: mchaleb@qualcomm.com The rest should be mdudziak@qualcomm.com If you think it best to make the formal assignee nobody and just add these addresses to the watch list, that's fine by me; I'm happy to listen to people smarter than myself. As for a description, I think a reasonable brief description is: Effort to build Eudora using Thunderbird as a base.

The information Steve provided sounds good to me. Marcia, let us know if you need any other information.

I need mdudziak@qualcomm.com to create a bugzilla account so I can put him as the default assignee. For now I am listing nobody@mozilla.org.

Ok, I have created all the components as well as added default QA contacts according to our naming convention. I still need to change the default assigned after mdudziak@qualcomm.com creates his account. Also, do we need any versions or target milestones? Scott/Steve: If you are comfortable making this live for bug entry with this caveats, I will reassign this bug to Dave Miller so he can get Penelope on the bug entry page.

(In reply to comment #10) > Any update on this? We (Qualcomm) would like to start filing bugs against > Penelope, but are currently not able to do so. You can use https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/enter_bug.cgi?product=Penelope now, all that justdave is going to do is make it easier by adding the product to the default https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/enter_bug.cgi page.

Now we can get started. I do have another question, however: When I try to enter a bug on that page, 'Version:' only lists 'Unspecified' and 'Target Milestone' does not offer any options. It is our understanding that we have the ability to edit the values for these fields. If true, how do I go about doing that? If not, what is the procedure for requesting changes to these fields? Thanks, Matt

Marcia, can you add the following values for the target milestone field: Initial Milestones: 0.1 0.5 1.0 Future and for Version I guess 0.1 and Trunk (in case the first release of penelope happens on a mozilla release branch)

OK, sorry for the delay, I've been a little buried in bugmail recently, and this got lost in it, so I didn't see it. I've added Penelope to the "Other products" page on the enter_bug screen, and to the product list on the Specific search page. If you want it on the main enter bug page I'll need an icon to use. Not sure if you're far enough along for that though (that page tends to be for high traffic stuff).
