User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1) Gecko/20061010 Firefox/2.0 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1) Gecko/20061010 Firefox/2.0 It would be nice if it was possible to ignore the accent marks when searching. A search on a French site for the word "impératif" fails if one only types "imperatif". Since these accents aren't always available on every keyboard, finding occurrences of such words can be a bit tricky. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. simply search for a word with an accented letter, but omit the accent. 2. 3. Actual Results: No match is found Expected Results: It's not completely unexpected, however it would be nice if the search feature was a bit more tolerant.
Summary: Search treats accented letters as different from non-accented. → Allow search of accented letters as non-accented characters
