User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686 (x86_64); en-US; rv:1.8.0.5) Gecko/20060720 SeaMonkey/1.0.3 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686 (x86_64); en-US; rv:1.8.0.5) Gecko/20060720 SeaMonkey/1.0.3 I'm using Seamonkey 1.03 on Linux. When I select File->Print, I get the standard Print dialog box. When click on the Properties... button, the dialog box I see only gives me these options: 1. Paper size 2. Color: GrayScale or Color 3. Gap from edge of paper to Margin: Top, Bottom, Left, Right. That's it. The Page Setup dialog box lets me choose the layout and the scaling, but there is no way for me to control the number of pages per sheet, duplex options, etc. It looks like Seamonkey is using the default options specified by kprinter. If I launch kprinter, specify the settings I want, click Save then Cancel, then printouts from Seamonkey use those settings. Reproducible: Always

Same problem: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US; rv:1.8.1.2) Gecko/20070307 Firefox/2.0.0.2 Every other application works perfectly with the print dialog, except Firefox and Thunderbird. I've seen this on Gentoo, CentOS (4 and 5), using fluxbox, kde, and gnome.
quite possibly dup of bug 102012
Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9pre) Gecko/2008041201 SeaMonkey/2.0a1pre WFM -- the desired settings are on the Print dialog, not the Page Setup dialog. Timur, are you seeing this on a current version of SeaMonkey (and which one)?
I'm using 1.1.9 and the problem still happens.
(In reply to comment #4) > I'm using 1.1.9 and the problem still happens. > Confirming according to comment #4 and comment #2, and moving to Core::Printing and mozilla1.8 Branch (I don't see the bug on the Trunk, since there the Print dialog [not the Print Preview dialog] has the required fields).

Oops, I meant comment #4 and comment #1
P.P.S. 1. This bug "might" be peculiar to x86-64 2. [not the _Page Setup_ dialog]. I shouldn't write bug comments before my first morning tea.
I'm experiencing this sort of problem in both Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:17.0) Gecko/17.0 Firefox/17.0 SeaMonkey/2.14 and Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:17.0) Gecko/17.0 Thunderbird/17.0. In my case the "Page Setup" tab of the "Print" dialog does contain a drop-down box labelled "Two-sided", but the only item in the box is "One Sided". But in all other GTK+ apps on my system (and KDE applications too, which use a different print dialog) this box lets me select "One Sided", "Long Edge (Standard)", and "Short Edge (flip)".
Is this problem still present? If so, could somebody who is experiencing the issue possibly attach the PPD file of the printer for which this happens. It should usually be under /etc/cups/ppd/<name_of_the_printer>.ppd when the printer is set up on the system.
I can no longer reproduce the issue (now using SeaMonkey 2.35).

This bug is quite old and all being replaced by the new print preview UI. Closing.
