Holding down control and turning the scroll wheel down enlarges text size, and
turning the wheel up makes it smaller. This is the reverse of all zoom-capable applications, with the exception of Internet Explorer <= 6.

Now that IE 7 has corrected zoom direction, Firefox is the only modern app that does it wrong.
