User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.8.1) Gecko/20061010 Firefox/2.0
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.8.1) Gecko/20061010 Firefox/2.0

Firefox attemps to open .smil files with quicktime player. It does not give you the option to open the files with a different program. Further you cannot add file types to the list of extensions that firefox recognizes (in preferances/content/manage file types.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Go to npr link
2.Attempt to open any audio file on the site.

Actual Results:
Popup ask what app you would like to open the file. Quicktime is the only option.

Expected Results:
Allow me to add the .smil file extension to the list of recognized extensions. Or allow me to choose an app from the popup.
