Can you set up 40 Gigs of disk space and 512 MB RAM for the web developer community to use on Landfill?  Reed Loden will be the primary user of this resource.

What OS?  Is this supposed to be on a public facing network or "behind" landfill?

I prefer Ubuntu personally, so if I'm the primary user, I'd like to use Ubuntu.

As far as where to put the server on the network, I'd rather not have to deal with maintaining the firewall, so it would be nice to have it "behind" landfill (firewall wise, as mkanat maintains landfill's firewall) but still have a different public IP/hostname (routed through landfill to the server). This way I can still use it as a separate entity from landfill yet have the firewall all maintained on landfill.

I got the impression that you wanted an environment similar to the production web servers, but that you could play with to figure out how to make stuff work.  If that's the case, wouldn't you really want RHEL4, since that's what's running on the production servers?  (Or CentOS 4.5 if we can't use our site license for this machine)

We can't use our site license here - CentOS is how we would need to do this.

Box up @ 63.245.210.141.  I copied your authorized_keys file from landfill so you should be able to login as root@63.245.210.141 and change the root password and create accounts.

Installed off the CentOS 4.4 Server CD image, minimal packages.
