User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X; en-US; rv:1.8.1) Gecko/20061010 Firefox/2.0
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X; en-US; rv:1.8.1) Gecko/20061010 Firefox/2.0

When I try to customize toolbars everything is fine until I close the toolbar customizer, which doesn't properly close, covering tabs underneath. My only option is to close Firefox. When Firefox is restarted none of the changes have been recorded.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.open customize toolbars
2.change options
3.close customize toolbar
4.the box with the customize toolbar remains, but is blank.
5.restarting firefox sets everything back to pre-customization.

Expected Results:
Customize toolbar should have allowed customization, closed completely, without leaving a blank box, and changes should be permanent/
Firefox 2.0 too.

Same problem - Cannot customize toolbars. But I do not have Step 4. Customize toolbars closes successfully and new settings appear.

Still have 5.: restarting firefox sets everything back to pre-customization.

Tomcat - Bug as reported in comment #0 (customize box doesn't close properly) sounds like a different issue to me, can you confirm corrupt localstore also causes this problem?
I've found that this bug is caused by the All-in-One Sidebar extension: if I disable all the extensions except this one, I still get the bug, and if I disable only the All-in-One Sidebar extension, I no longer get the bug. So, this does not seem to be a bug in Firefox.
And this is a known issue: http://firefox.exxile.net/aios/knownissues.php

This bug should probably be resolved as INVALID (instead of DUPLICATE).
Neal - can you confirm if you have/had the all-in-one sidebar installed at the time of the issue?

Marking as INCOMPLETE for now unless we hear back from Neal.
