User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1) Gecko/20061010 Firefox/2.0 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1) Gecko/20061010 Firefox/2.0 When attempting to download file and view image attachments from IPB 2.0.0+ forums, Firefox opens a new page with jumbled code, (see pictures)This problem occurs in versions as far back a Firefox 1.0.6, but only started to happen about a month or two ago. URL provided leads to an IPB topic with an image and file attachment. File Attachments: http://img524.imageshack.us/img524/767/filecodejm3.png Image Attachments: http://img524.imageshack.us/img524/2136/imagecodeqd4.png Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Visit an IPB forum using Firefox. 2. Try to download an attachment. Actual Results: Attachments of any kind display code. Expected Results: Firefox should either show an image or download the file in question.
Although Firefox does sniff files sent with the content-type text/html for probable mislabelled binary content, sometimes it's just not possible to tell. In both those cases, the file is mistakenly sent with a "Content-Type: text/html" header, and there aren't clearly binary characters close enough to the start for us to detect that is isn't really HTML. Luckily, since you know when it started, that should help the site admins narrow down what they did to break it.

This happens on forums that have not been updated or that have been newly created. The reference link above is a new forum, with no updates or major changes done there, (I should know, I'm an Admin there.) I frequent another forum that is older, and has had no updates or major changes done to it, or so that Admin says. It should be noted, this doesn't happen in IE 6 or 7.
