1) Can you describe what you mean better? I don't understand where you're typing in the bad url or what constitutes a bad url in this context. 2) You're using a very old version of firefox it would probably be best if you could confirm this same behaviour in firefox 2.0
Sounds to me like your computer may be affected by spyware. It's also possible that your internet service provider is causing these redirects.

I just upgraded to 2.0 and it's still there. Next to the house I type in http://www.daveandbuster.com which is an unregistered URL I'm guessing, it then immediately redirects to www.usseek.com
Yeah I'm guessing spyware. I thought Firefox might be a little more resilient to this.
