Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1) Gecko/20061010 Firefox/2.0
Go to the web site and type into the search bar to look for what ever you'd like to find - the title of a CD, for example. As you type, the search bar remains blank, although the caret moves rightward with each character typed in. This happens to amazon.ca but not amazon.com. For IE, both sites works well.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.go to www.amazon.ca
2.in the search bar type in the title of a book or CD
3.no content shows up in the bar as you type

No problem typing in the box. Have you tried:
- Firefox's safe-mode to exclude extension problems
- a reinstall in a new empty directory
- a new profile?

I was using an unzipped FF. I just tried to remove it from folder, registry, and "documents and settings" (profile is stored there), and do an installation of official FF 2.0 into another directory. But the problem still persists. There's
only one add-on (which is Talkback 2.0). Safe mode (resetting everything) does not solve the problem, either.
