Details

Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X; en-US; rv:1.9a1) Gecko/20061126 Firefox/3.0a1 ID:2006112617 Seems odd that this would be gfx, but it works just fine in a toolkit=cocoa build from the same tree. STR: 1. Open https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/enter_bug.cgi?product=Core in cairo-cocoa 2. Open DOM Inspector, ensure "Blink selected element" is active. 3. Inspect Content Document -> (the enter bug page) 4. Select any element in the HTML <body>. Expected: the element is scrolled into view, and a red border around it blinks. Actual: the element is scrolled into view, the inner border of the Version and Component select elements' scrollbars blink. 5. Inspect Chrome Document -> (the browser). 6. Select any chrome element, like the Back button on the toolbar. Expected: a red border blinks around the Back button. Actual: the scrollbars of the Version and Component select elements in the content blink.
Summary: DOM Inspector flashes content scrollbars for chrome elements, scrollbar inner margin for content elements → [cocoa-cairo] DOM Inspector flashes content scrollbars for chrome elements, scrollbar inner margin for content elements
If I was more observant, I would have noticed that it also tries to blink the bottom margin of the bookmarks toolbar, and the page proxy icon in the addressbar, which makes for a fantastic effect on Mozilla pages, because it looks like the lizard's spines are waving in the breeze.
I simply don't see any blinking whatsoever when selecting elements. Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.9a1) Gecko/20061215 Minefield/3.0a1 ID:2006121504 [cairo]
