User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1) Gecko/20061010 Firefox/2.0 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1) Gecko/20061010 Firefox/2.0 I was first exposed to Firefox when I was using a public campus computer and someone had installed it. I think this is one of the best forms of advertisement for your product. Every time I install Firefox at a public computer I need to reset my settings, and worse I get all the first time prompts for things like secure websites and remembering passwords. This is especially problematic because if I antecedently accept password logging I may face serious security risks. My suggestion is for there to be a simple file containing current Firefox settings which can be saved. People could email this file to themselves so that they could access it anywhere. When they install Firefox at a public computer they could save the file to desktop and use an import - browse function that would quickly load these settings to the newly installed version of Firefox. Settings that I would include - Bookmarks and Bookmark toolbar, Google toolbar, all options settings and homepage. Major benefits: -compete with explorer. People would be even more apt to use Firefox if they could have their personal settings anywhere. -Access larger market. The more public computers that Firefox is on the more people will be exposed to it. -You could include an option to let people send you this file. This would be useful in analyzing which options people prefer. I know you do not respond to all of the suggestions, but if this is implemented it would make me happy to know. Thanks for creating such a great product. Reproducible: Always
