It only did it once, but is still on my desktop Expected Results: deleted and never came back.
What version of Sunbird are you using? Also it's not clear if you are using a storage calendar or a ics calendar? First: Export will not remove the events from database, it just exports (copies) them to a file. If you want to remove events just delete them. Second: Uninstalling Sunbird will not remove your profile containing your calendar data. (This would be a serious dataloss error otherwise.) -> invalid?
I used Sunbird Version 0.3 , I re-downloaded it and re-installed it so I'm not sure exactly which build but it's in the 0.3 category. A calendar was simply exported as an .ics on my desktop, and it returns from the dead everytime i delete it. With or without sunbird running or even being installed.
Summary: exported calander file (.ics) keeps coming back after being deleted & Sunbird uninstalled → exported calender file (.ics) keeps coming back after being deleted & Sunbird uninstalled
Once a calendar is exported, Sunbird no longer accesses it. Furthermore, if you uninstalled sunbird it can no longer affect this exported calendar. So, we cannot recreate this scenario and we are not at all sure what you are seeing. If you have any other steps to reproduce and can recreate this issue with a clean profile on a recent nightly then we will reconsider this bug. But, otherwise, we feel this might be specific to underlying problems on your machine. Marking INVALID.
