In each window you open, before content (or even about:blank) has loaded, the content area will have a black background instead of a white one. STR: 1. Open a new window 2. Observe the background color of the content area while "Loading…" appears in the status bar Expected: White bg Actual: black bg I only see this in Camino, not Minefield/GP, and it's happened ever since cairo. (You can tell that it's before about:blank has loaded by enabling session saving, opening a new window and manually setting the location to about:blank [if you have some page load in new windows], quitting, and restarting.)
I don't see this on 10.4 (still see a white bg) with 2006120901 (1.2+). cl
I don't see it either on 10.4. But I can confirm the black background on 10.3.9 (with 20061209 v1.2+)
I wondered why more people hadn't complained about this :P
OS: Mac OS X 10.2 → Mac OS X 10.3
Summary: [cairo] Initial view in each window has black bg, not white → [10.3][cairo] Initial view in each window has black bg, not white
Do we have any idea why this is only happening in Camino? Something in Thebes that in a codepath that only we call using a non-10.3-safe function, perhaps? If the bug is not in our code, we should request blocking1.9? (and move this to wherever) before it gets too late.
According to MoCo, 10.3 is dead.
