The LiveConnect shell configuration files need to be updated to match current JDK requirements as well as to support Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Server 2003 and Windows Vista.

If we change the build system to not look for operating specific configuration files, it could do just that. That is an alternative fix for this problem that would prevent the need to continually add these type configuration files. The same goes for the js shell as well.

Firefox code moved from custom Liveconnect code to the NPAPI/NPRuntime bridge a while back. Mass-closing the bugs in the liveconnect component which are likely invalid. If you believe that this bug is still relevant to modern versions of Firefox, please reopen it and move it the "Core" product, component "Plug-Ins".
