When printing a page from the web, the body of the printed [page respects the margin values entered by the user. the page header and footer do not reflect the entered margin values but seem to use the maximum printable area values. this contradiction shows up not only on the printed page but also in the print preview of that page.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. In print setup, select left and right margins other than 0 (zero)
2. Select this page
3. Go to print preview
4. Notice the disparities between the margins for the body of the printed page and the printed page header and footer.
Actual Results:
Saw the preview as described above; printed the page as described above.
Expected Results:
Hoped to see the printed header and footer obey the same margin constraints as the body of the printed page. This is extremely important if the information printed is to be bound.
From limited testing of various versions of Firefox and various versions of Windows XP, the problem is consistent.

I can confirm this bug.
The page's header and footer remain at the very top and the very bottom (respectively) of the page, regardless of the values entered as margin settings. Only the body of the page is affected by the margin settings, not the header and footer.

do you see this when using FF 5 beta, or FF 4?

On firefox 5, I prepare a custom size paper with little margins, and for the body part, I don't see them respected at all. Header/footer close to the edges (as I want), and the body has still *huge* margins. Only checking on print preview.

I am currently running Firefox 8.0. In all of the pages I have printed since I upgraded, the header and footer lines respect the physical print area imposed by the printer itself (I have a Brother HL-2240 Laser Printer). BUT - the headers and footers do mot respect the margin values setup via the Page Setup -> Margins & Headers/Footers window.
What has been done is a great improvement from the previous problem since I can now see the individual page numbers from multi-page printouts. I would still like to see Firefox respect values entered in Firefox's own Page Setup window.
setup window.
