frequently, when i revisit sites i've gone to before (as the one stated above) i continually get "firefox has encountered a problem and needs to close". i could've just visited the site minutes ago, hours ago, or even days ago, but when i return i get the message. i've run virus scans, spy/adware scans, etc.. but nothing comes up. this is making me nuts! can you help??? thanks!

Can you provide a talkback ID (see http://kb.mozillazine.org/Talkback)? I would advise asking for help on mozillazine forums (http://forums.mozillazine.org/) or irc (http://irc.mozilla.org/).
Does it work if you start Firefox in Safe Mode? (it temporarily disables plugins and extensions, this test will help narrow down the cause of the problem) http://kb.mozillazine.org/Safe_Mode
Jan, could you try Firefox's safe mode and report back please? (see comment 2)
