speaking with a coworker about how trees might be used for requirements, it's clear that he wants to walk through bugs by selecting nodes in the tree and working on them w/o closing the tree.

I know some people foolishly think tabs are the answer to all problems, but sometimes they really aren't.

basically a link should be available for each node in the tree that loads it in the side area. personally i think I'd rather this be a frameset instead of an iframe because framesets are resizable. if this mode is used, the bug for which the tree is generated should be the default one to appear in the list.
