With seamonkey, every wall street journal page (other than the main page) displays with a big gap at the top after it finally finishes loading. Firefox displays it properly with the same adblock plugin. I am using 20070111 SeaMonkey/1.1. This is not new. It has been doing this ever since I started to use SeaMonkey.
Go to www.wsj.com and click on any article link. The page is OK until it loads. At completion, the text moves down, usually off screen.

No. I have adblock Plus, NoScript, password maker and enigmail. But, I have the same plugins in FireFox and the pages display properly! See attached pics. (I am now using SeaMonkey on a Mac and see the same thing).

The very latest releases of each. Just installed this week. I don't know how to disable all plugins without killing my profile. I could post the page source...

pls disable addons, not plugins.
You don't have to kill a profile to disable addons. 3 choices:
1. start in profile manager and create a new (empty) profile for test purposes. when done testing just start with your original profile
2. install trunk which has the new addon manager. tools>addons, then right click and disable each addon, then restart seamonkey. test. reverse the process.
3. seamonkey 1.1.x - install extension [1] which provides manager capability. then start. then tools>addons, right click and disable each addon, then restart seamonkey
[1] going by memory I think the extension is xsidebar at http://xsidebar.mozdev.org/

xsidebar didn't do it, so I downloaded the latest trunk build (2.0a1pre). The addon manager says there are no extensions other than the DOM inspector and SeaMonkey debug. I still see the blank space on the WSJ page.

It displays it correctly, and then it all moves down.

Well, trunk was a good test. good pick :)
since we both tried trunk and you used a clean profile (but I don't know about your theme) I'm all out of things to try at my end.
here's what you're left with:
* theme
* java
* javascript
* some preference or combination of preferences
* screen related

Could you see that page? I had to subscribe I think. There is no Java in it, but lots of JS. I had the default theme.
Alas, Enigmail does not work with 2.x, and I need it, so I have to use the old version. It looks very nice.
I see this on my Windows computers too, so I don't think its the screen.
You could try to install NoScript and AdBlock Pro and see if it still works for you.

vaguely like bug 389398 - but the bug is written up as a trunk-only regression
