A distribution of Firefox called Quickfox is available for BeOS. It uses the official Firefox icons. When I questioned the author (BeOSMrX) on IRC he suggested that it is considered fair use but I am not sure. I do not know whether there is already some kind of agreement in place between Mozilla and him allowing this, nothing came up when searching bugzilla. I am unsure of how much of a modification of Firefox Quickfox actually is. From the homepage and http://bebits.com/app/4222 I can deduce that at the minimum it has different default preferences and an included custom theme and search plugin. I suspect there are few if any code changes. I am unable to test the distribution, however screen shots from the homepage show it displaying with the Quickfox name in the title bar and task bar, the Firefox icon in the task bar, but the Firefox name and logo in the about box (http://quickfoxbrowser.com/beos_screenshots/Mr._X_BeOS_screen00.png)
Just stumbled onto this bug. Seems like the domain in question has gone. I'm not part of the BeOS community so I cannot tell if it just moved somewhere else but the links on the bebits site are also dead. Maybe this is WFM...
Yep - site is gone. Gerv
