No facility to print the details of a specific calendar entry

Details
There does not appear to be any facility to print the details of a calendar event. This makes the entire calendar be virtually unusable as there is no way to print out the details of the call (i.e. bridge number and participant code etc.) so that you can participate in a meeting when away from your computer.

Correcting severity to what this bug is about: an request for enhancement. Bill, are 'the details of the call' part of the event description field? In that case you can just use the 'List' print layout. (Printing calendar is currently only available in Lightning 0.4a1 nightly test builds.)

Well, it sounds like my issue might be fixed int the 0.4a1 nightly builds. Is that version going to work with Thunderbird 2.0 when it is released? Or is it a Thunderbird 3 thing?
The current lightning extension will work with Thunderbird 1.5, 2.0 and 3.0.

(Printing calendar is > currently only available in Lightning 0.4a1 nightly test builds.) > Perhaps I am stupid, but i just installed the lightning.xpi for the latest 1.8 branch nightly. It identifies itself as version 0.4a1 and there is still obvious way to print anything. Are you saying I am supposed to install the trunk nightly lightning even though I ma runnig the branch Thunderbird?

(In reply to comment #5) > (In reply to comment #4) > Call menu command Calendar -> Print > Thanks I can print the whole days calendar that way which is even better for what I wanted than getting each event on a seperate piece of paper. Should I resolve this WORKSFORME and file a new bug on enhancements or just change the summary and give a list of improvements I would like to see in printing?

Actually re-reading the summary I guess it does fit what I would like to see. So i guess this bug is about adding a "Print Item" choice to the context menu for calendar items.

Closing as WORKSFORME per previous comment. Bill, please file new bugs for your enhancement requests (one bug per request please) if there is not already a bug filed. Thanks.
