When adding a new calendar there is the choice to select: on the local machine or on the network.
Whe the choice is made to ceate a calendar for office use, the network option will be selected and a path need to be given.
After providing this information the calendar entry will be created
Selecting this entry and create an event will result in not going away the event window and no data is written on the remote network location.

Expected Results:  
When creating the new network entry, startfiles must be created on the choosen loaction to let work the ligtning calendar module.
Also the choice between iCalendar or CalDav must be adjusted or better explaned.

Reporter, what was the path you used in the dialog.  If you gave it a valid path to an ICS file, it should have worked. If you gave it only a path, then it may not have been able to create the file.

We need more information on how you were using the dialog in order to properly diagnose the problem and fix it.
