i cannot copy text or image from a firefox window then paste it to a word document for example or notepad page. i do have the option to do so but when i do use the copy option then i am ready to paste i do not have the option to paste. i even tried with the keyboard key ctrl+c and ctrl+v.
is there something i need to enable ? because i can copy do from internet explorer.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.highlight text or picture in firefox
2.right click then select copy
3.try and paste to a word document of notepad page

You probably have an issue with spyware, see

I, too, am unable to copy anything from Firefox (text or graphics).  My copy and paste works fine everywhere else on my computer.  I have:

Windows XP SR2
Firefox 1.5.0.9

I have the same problem.  I'm trying to copy auto-generated graphs and charts generated with ColdFusion Version 7.  I can't save the image files either, either on the Mac or PC version of FF.

I can do so without a problem on Internet Explorer.

Sometimes you cant copy from the page, just a text, using ctrl-C. Content menu works though

I have the same problem when I highlight the text then right click and copy.Then
try to paste to a file name or a text document I do not get the paste option.
This only happened after the last fire fox update I am now on ver 22.
I can still use ctrl c on the key board then ctrl v to paste.

Why was the previous version of fire fox able to use the right click to copy
but this version not ??

I have the same problem with Firefox 30 for windows. I cannot select and therefore cannot copy a text from my youtube channel description or tags. Any other browser is fine!

This issue was initially reported on Win XP which is no longer supported.
Newer OS's and latest Firefox versions do not exhibit this kind of behavior, so I'm closing it as WFM.
