Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Make sure you have JavaScript enabled.
2. Open the attached testcase. (Keyboard focus will automatically be sent to the textbox.)
3. Press Enter.
Actual Results:  
The textbox disappears as expected, but an orphaned auto-complete box appears in the top-left corner of the screen (not the website viewport -- the screen!), containing at least one item which is the text that was in the textbox.

Expected Results:  
No such thing should happen.

The bug only occurs if you follow the STR precisely. If you do anything that causes the auto-complete box to appear while the textbox is still visible, the bug does not occur. If you use the mouse to click on the button, or you Tab to the button before pressing Enter, the bug will also not occur.

No, that's wrong. When I reload it (not shift+reload) I see a crash in build 2005-08-22:10 and earlier and the described tooltip like thingy in 2005-08-22:22 and later. So this could be the result of a crash fix.

I doubt that it has anything to do with the patch for bug 304373.  Those changes were in the xforms extension only (not part of the default build).
