No bug.
[Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.9a3pre) Gecko/20070222 SeaMonkey/1.5a] (2007-02-22-08-trunk) (W2Ksp4)
Modern: no bug.
Classic: bug.
1. Have a filter that move incoming mail from POP3 Inbox to another POP3 folder in another account.
2. Send a message to yourself, which will get filtered/moved.
2r. The destination folder displays without any icon.
3. Read the new message there.
3r. The "normal" folder icon gets back.

(I tested Classic only...)
Another case:
deleting a message inside an IMAP Sent folder:
the message looses its icon, in the Thread pane.
Flags: blocking-seamonkey1.5a?

... Something like this happens, if someone isn't able to test all cases. I don't have "real" mailboxes in my "test-build" and I never had any IMAP accounts.
I hope the attached patch will fix this one...

using the blocking-1.5a flag is more or less useless anyways as long as we don't even think of shipping an alpha, unsetting it.

Manuel,
No big deal; I guess that's what alphas and testers are there for ;->
Robert,
I set the blocking flag in order "not to forget" in case the bug would exist that long: better to set it to soon rather than too late; then, I unset it when the bug is fixed.
Is that something I shouldn't do (that way) ?
(Anyone,)
Reopen this bug if you find other cases of missing icons.
