Steps to reproduce:
1. Load http://www.tv.com/prison-break/show/31635/official-discussion-thread-andquotwashandquot-spoilers/topic/14245-671484/msgs.html?tag=board_topics;title;0 
2. Scroll down about a quarter of the way and watch the top/bottom of the viewport as you scroll.

Result: The photo of Prison Break character "Sucre" has flickery problems while scrolling; part of the background shows through for a split-second as the scrolled-out portion comes into view.

I'm using a Mac trunk debug build.

It's easiest to see the bug if you scroll quickly (e.g. hold the Down arrow key or grab the scrollbar thumb and move quickly), especially in the testcase that doesn't use any images.

This isn't especially new; I can reproduce the bug using a trunk nightly from November.

Was this in 1.8?  Is it a regression from frame display lists or something around then?

We're skipping this nomination pending more information (answers to questions above), but it'll probably get minused next time around.

I don't see that _anymore_ on my Mac (10.4.9 ppc). I used to see this when the bug was filed. 

Another site where I used to see this is http://arstechnica.com/ (especially the background on the article block would briefly flash when scrolling).
Iirc, one of the background-image bugs fixed by David Baron resolved this (bug 371434 maybe ?).
