I'm working on creating the web based help system for firefox 3. In order to get load testing done to see whether the backend we want to use will work we'd like to know the load on http://www.mozilla.org/support/firefox to have a kind of baseline as to how many request happen per second.

It would also be great to have stats on the children pages like:

http://www.mozilla.org/support/firefox/faq
http://www.mozilla.org/support/firefox/tips
http://www.mozilla.org/support/firefox/keyboard
http://www.mozilla.org/support/firefox/mouse
http://www.mozilla.org/support/firefox/menu
http://www.mozilla.org/support/firefox/options
http://www.mozilla.org/support/firefox/edit
http://www.mozilla.org/support/firefox/bugs

Tom
OS: Linux → All
Hardware: PC → All
Discussed elsewhere, this is really not going to give us anything useful, since this content isn't well-linked from anywhere except the homepage, and doesn't have any sort of deep content to get people returning multiple times.

It also has no localized content that I'm aware of, so that excludes 45% of our userbase off the bat.

Load for Remora post-launch and mozilla.com would be far more useful, if we thought we had any option other than "anticipate massive load"
Ok, I updated the wiki just a bit ago and decided on 15.5 million concurrent hits. This is based ont the fact that there have been over 310 million download the assumption that 5% of those are going to help at any one time.
moving bugs filed under this component to the new component, which will be using going forward.

I don't think this bug belongs in this product, moving back to mozilla.org

justdave: I thought we were sunsetting this component and using the other one I created for stats. If that is not the case, then Jeremy needs to make sure to file any new bugs under the new component so as not to confuse things.

The wrong people are involved. The new product is only for confidential bugs relating to the stats system internals that require an NDA to access because of partner obligations. This bug is public, involves non-NDAed developers making a request for information that likely doesn't fall into that confidentiality realm. This component probably isn't a good place for it either, but it doesn't belong in the new product.
Thanks for the clarification. I will resolve the other bug fixed, and leave things be.
