When the browser is closed, monitor reset click is heard, screen goes black then comes on and everything returns to normal. It does not happen on Internet Explorer. I have removed firefox twice and reloaded still hapens

Right click on the firefox icon you use to launch firefox. Choose properties from the menu and click on the Compatibility tab if there is anything checked on this page un-check it (Run on 640 x 480 screen resolution. Please report back in this bug if this fixes the issue.

I was a little confused. you said to uncheck any thing on the page which I did and it looks to have fixed the problem. but then you said to run 640 X 480 which was the only thing checked on the page. I did un-check it now tere is nothing checked. Is this how you intended me to run. If not how do I select 640 X 480, thanks

That was the option I expected to be checked on your system. Unchecking the box was what I wanted you to do. Because this was an issue with your system and not general issue with firefox.
