Disabling Javascript does not prevent the hang on that page, however, disabling Java does.

Firefox hangs also when entering
When you click 'X' in the top corner of the window you get this "this program does not respond" -notification. So you don't have to go to the task manager to kill the program.

System: 32-bit Windows XP, Intel Celeron, Firefox

Hope this helps.

both WFM Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv: Gecko/20070309 Firefox/ -- with a rather old Java Version 1.5.0 (build 1.5.0_09-b03)

suspect you need to update java iirc 1.6 is newest version -

check your version of Java from windows' "control panel" or the java icon in the system communication area (on the start bar)

This problem has disappeared. I'm using FF in Windows now and Java has been upgraded a few times also. So now it's "RESOLVED WORKSFORME" for me too.
