When closing a window with multiple tabs, if you select the "don't show this warning again" checkbox, the corresponding checkbox in the preferences sometimes doesn't update until after restarting the browser.

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Select the preference "warn me when: closing windows or quitting with multiple pages open"
2. Open a several windows with several tabs each
3. Close a window, so that the corresponding warning appears.
4. Select "don't warn me again"
5. Open preferences.
Actual Results:  
The corresponding checkbox is still ticked, though it is out of sync with the browser's behavior.

Expected Results:  
The corresponding checkbox should be unticked.

Also tested on the 3/7/07 nightly (branch, I think), with a fresh profile.

When this happens, does it get back in sync with reality if instead of closing the browser you move to a different prefpane and move back to General?

Yeah.  This is because we only truly load preference panes when we switch them (ie, closing and reopening the prefs window never loads the pane again).  There are references to this all over bugzilla, but I'm not sure I've seen a bug filed.  Stuart, you say in bug 371266 comment 7 that you've filed such a bug, but I don't see it...  is there an existing bug for this?
