Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.2) Gecko/20070219 Firefox/2.0.0.2 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.2) Gecko/20070219 Firefox/2.0.0.2 Yesterday I turned my computer on and Mozilla had reinstalled itself on its own, which was pretty odd in itself. So I set up my bars the way I like them (removing the bookmarks bar) and setting up all the buttons accordingly. However, whenever I close Mozilla and reopen it, it completely resets everything to the way it was when it was reinstalled and I can't get it to stop. I have researched the bug and have found nothing on it. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open Mozilla Firefox. 2. Set it up the way you like it. 3. Close Mozilla Firefox. 4. Reopen Mozilla Firefox. 5. Everything has reverted back to the way it started. Actual Results: All of my buttons were back in the "Customize" area and the bookmarks bar was back. Expected Results: It should have stayed the way I placed them, and the bookmarks bar should have remained hidden. I have removed every addon I have ever installed. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling and nothing is working to rid my browser of these problems, and while they seem juvenile they are most annoying.
The unwanted reinstallation could be explained by a windows system restore. If you don't want the program you can simply delete the Mozilla Firefox folder in Program Files. See http://kb.mozillazine.org/Toolbar_customizations_reset_on_startup
