Using:
2000-04-27-09m16 commercial build NT 4.0
2000-04-27-09m16 commercial build linux rh6.0
2000-04-26-11m16 commercial build mac OS 9.0
The first message you display in the mail window within a session will show the
address headers envelope area overlapping upward over the From/Date/Subj header
envelope. Once you select another message it corrects for the rest of the mail
session.
1. Launch and go to mail window, login to mail account. Message pane is open.
2. Select a message and wait for it to download.
Notice the header envelopes are overlapped and you can't see the From or
Date headers.
3. Select another message... header envelopes are now displayed properly.
4. Exit and return, do the same steps. 1st message displayed has envelope
display problem.
Result: The first message you select/display has header envelope areas
overlapped so you can't see all the available headers. Corrects for the rest of
the session once you select another message.

adding evaughan to the cc list in case it has to do with the box changes from
tuesday. Nothing in the mail window directory has changed. I started seeing this
in yesterdays builds. So that would have been checkins from 4/25....

This, per se, is not happening in the 5/01 and 5/02 commercial builds. However,
the address header envelopes aren't opening in most cases at all... so the
header area has gotten worse.
Is there another bug on the address header envelopes being closed, or should we
have this one cover that situation?

definetly not cleanup work...bumping back to m16. selmer's still batting a high
percentage in my book for moving bugs over though =).

Eric said he'd take a look at this for us. The bug is apparently in toolbars
(when they were re-written in XBL). The overlapping parts of the header envelope
are toolbars stacked on top of each other.
Thanks Eric.

This is generally better and fixed, except for a case which I'll separate out in
a new bug. I'd thought that case was also covered here, but just to be simpler,
I'll log it separately -- see bug #39655.
