RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 319196

Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.2) Gecko/20070219 Firefox/2.0.0.2
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.2) Gecko/20070219 Firefox/2.0.0.2

This has happened to me twice in one day on two PCs. The auto-upgrade feature was enabled (I now know to never make that mistake again).

Everything was not just reset, but overwritten. 2.0.0.2 ignores any and all previous profiles and creates completely blank profiles. All bookmarks are deleted, including the RSS feeds. Everything in the profile is also overwritten with default values, so that all of the "are you sure?" warnings are back, all cookie settings are reset, all font settings are reset, etc.

I strongly suggest that you pull this update back.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Do nothing.
2. Upgrade comes down.
3. Hard drive thrashes.
4. Restart Firefox
5. Lose all personal settings.
6. Get prompted to enter all settings again for Forecast Fox, Adblock, and all other plugins.
