Details
(Whiteboard: [CLOSEME 2010-11-01])
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux ppc64; en-US; rv:1.8.0.10) Gecko/20070313 Fedora/1.5.0.10-5.fc6 Firefox/1.5.0.10
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux ppc64; en-US; rv:1.8.0.10) Gecko/20070313 Fedora/1.5.0.10-5.fc6 Firefox/1.5.0.10 and firefox 2.0 (will send out actual version in another post)
I will briefly summarize the problem
Local System (localuser) -> Running firefox 2.0.0.3
ssh -X localuser@remotesystem
firefox&
firefox on remote system quits and the firefox on localsystem starts
I quit all instances of firefox on localsystem and restart firefox on the remote system. This time the remote firefox opens up. Just now, when I try to start firefox on my localsystem, the remote version starts up.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Start firefox on one system
2. Remotely login to the other system with X11 forwarding enabled
3. Try to start firefox there
Actual Results:
local version of firefox starts
Expected Results:
remote version of firefox starts
Seen this happen on ubuntu's version of firefox as well. These are servers so I do not want to upgrade that box to firefox 2.0 unless yum update does it.

This is a mass search for bugs that are in the Firefox General component, are UNCO, and have not been changed for 1000 days and have an unspecified version.
Reporter, can you please update to Firefox 3.6.10, create a fresh profile, http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/managing+profiles, and test again. If you still see the bug, please update this bug. If the issue is gone, please set the resolution to RESOLVED > WORKSFORME.
