Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9a1) Gecko/20061204 GranParadiso/3.0a1
It is observed that only a part of href is shown with underline on mouse hover in pages with tamil content. Observed this on http://www.dinamani.com/ . On IE it seems fine.
Snapshot: Firefox3_TamilPage_OnlyPartOfHrefHasUnderlineOnMouseHover.GIF
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Launch the Firefox3 Gran Paradiso browser.
2. Load the site http://www.dinamani.com/
3. Move the mouse over any of the headlines.
Actual Results:
The whole headline should be seen underlined on mouse hover.
Expected Results:
Only a part of the href is seen underlined on mouse hover. But On IE it seems fine.

what character set is that page using? It doesn't load right in any Firefox version I have.

charset=x-user-defined with a "masquerade font" which you need to download (since we don't support dynamic fonts).

After downloading http://www.dinamani.com/fonts/tmnews.ttf I can't reproduce this bug in current Linux trunk. Naresh, it's great that you're testing Indic languages and filing bugs, but please read http://www.mozilla.org/support/firefox/bugs and use nightly builds.

I can also reproduce on Windows, but not with the new textframe turned on.

The new textframe landed, so this should be fixed, I think. Also, do we need to support masquerade fonts? I think that we should simply evangelize on such pages, as Unicode is now the recommended solution.

After installing the font, I can't reproduce, link underlines seem correct. Naresh, if you think this problem still exists, please re-open and post some detail.
