37767 - Visual when checking for new postings in newsgroups

When you open a news server, by opening the small blue arrow, there should be 
some kind of visual indication that Mozilla is checking for new postings in the 
newsgroups.

What about just writing a status to the status bar:
Checking 1 of 20 newsgroups
Checking 2 of 20 newsgroups
etc...

This looks like its fixed to me. When I click on the blue arrow I get the
rotating progress bar,throbber activity, and a status bar message such as eg
"checking newsgroup 0 of 33 for new messages."

Using build ID 2000092908 Win32.

Using build 2000100820 I'm only getting the throbber activity. No status bar 
text update...

clearing milestone, m17 and m18 are meaningless now.  these need to be triages
along with the rest.

Things get kind of strange if you have more than one news server. I have one
server with one newsgroup, another with two, and another with one. The status
bar goes through these three messages:

Checking newsgroup 1 of 1
Checking newsgroup 1 of 2
Checking newsgroup 2 of 2
Checking newsgroup 1 of 1

Shouldn't it say "Checking newsgroup 1 of 4" and so on?

to prevent confusion, we could add the server (or account) name to the progress
text.

Checking 1 of 4 on news.mozilla.org
...
Checking 1 of 8 on news.mcom.com
...

I think there are similar bugs logged about using the server or account name in
other status text.

now we do: "Checking 1 of 8 on news.mcom.com for new messages"

I also fixed the "Checking 0 of 8" problem.
