Got abnormal Alert when trying to compose/send mail message
Used 04-28-09-M16 commercial build:
1) Login to MS Exchange Mail IMAP account
2) Tried to compose/send message
3) The compose even reopen again even I already click Send
4) Tried to send again
5) Got an Abnormal message: "Login Failed" even I login by using correct user
name & password.
Expected results: Should allow to compose/send message successfully without
reopening the compose window and displaying the abnormal Alert since I login the
correct user id & password.

Karen,
1) What was the smtp server you were trying to connect to? Can you list the smtp
settings here? (Not the imap settings)
2) Are you saying you needed to "log in" somewhere in order to send the message?
Does your smtp server require authentication or something? That's strange that
you need to log in for sending mail...
Thanks!

Furthermore, I see the send message got a copy in the Sent folder, but I didn't
see the sent message display from the Inbox....

SMTP problem? Why I can receive the message from other mail account if sending
from MS Exchange(even it display Alert...), but just cannot receive from the MS
exchange Inbox?

Oh it's an imap problem?? your steps made it sound like the problem was with
sending the mail. I got this from reading the steps to reproduce the problem
that you listed at the beginning. You send you tried to send but the compose
window re-opened...and you got a login failed message. I assumed you meant the
smtp server was trying to ask you for a password or something.
Can you cahne the subject to reflect the problem is with getting messages not
sending them.
re-assigning to jefft who is our interop guru and changing the component to imap
not smtp.

Scott, Actually this bug invloved two problems:
1) When trying to send message, it really reopen the compose window & display
the Alert...
2) After send message, from MSexchange cannot receive message but can recieve
message from other IMAP server....
Sound like SMTP frond end & IMAP backend problem..???

I cannot rename the folder either.....I don't think I need to log another
bug....it seemed this is really serious blocker bug for IMAP Interop -- MS
Exchange server.
