User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.3) Gecko/20070309 Firefox/2.0.0.3 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.3) Gecko/20070309 Firefox/2.0.0.3 Hi, Every time I download an attachment from any email on Gmail, the chat gets disconnected. On this same machine (Windows XP), I can download attachments in IE 6.0.29 without being disconnected, whereas I consistently get disconnected from chat on Firefox 2.0.0.3. I run Ubuntu Feisty on my usual PC with Firefox 2.0.0.3 and I have the same issue there. My boyfriend runs Windows XP and Firefox 2.0.0.3 (not sure which version) and has the same issue. When he tried under IE 6.0.28, he did not have the issue. My friend runs Windows XP and Firefox 1.5 and does not have the issue. I don't remember having the issue until recently so I think it may have to do with the newer version of Firefox... Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. log on to gmail 2. wait till it connects to chat 3. download an attachment Actual Results: As soon as you click on the attachment link, before you even hit the OK button to save or open, all the little signs go grey (even the one next to your own name) and you can't chat anymore. You have to manually reconnect. Expected Results: still connected and download my attachment.
My boyfriend runs Windows XP and Firefox 2.0.0.3 (not sure which version) [...] Sorry, I just forgot to take out the comment about not knowing which version after I found out =)
The issue happens when the extension/add-on tab mix plus is installed.
This bug was reported on Firefox 2.x or older, which is no longer supported and will not be receiving any more updates. I strongly suggest that you update to Firefox 3.6.3 or later, update your plugins (flash, adobe, etc.), and retest in a new profile. If you still see the issue with the updated Firefox, please post here. Otherwise, please close as RESOLVED > WORKSFORME http://www.mozilla.com http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Managing+profiles http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Safe+mode

Hi: Sorry I didn't change it when I figured out it was the tab mix plus add-on.
